New research suggests the NHS in England is short of more than 50,000 nurses and midwives. The NHS wanted to produce an illustration led campaign to promote nursing and midwifery as a career to secondary school students.

Based on the overwhelming success of the posters the NHS went on to commission the production of an activity pack for nurses to take to schools to run classroom workshops.
